We arrived a bit early so we could have time to explore. We wandered to the opposite side of the island where there’s a tiny strip of beach, and we watched boats sailing underneath the Bay Bridge. The chilly Bay breeze came in after that, so we visited a food vendor and picked up some hot chocolate. We headed back up to the car just in time for the main event. The show was really atmospheric because the band’s music was moody and there were these gorgeous floral projections. We left really late, and we didn’t know Austin well enough to know about Kerbey Lane or any of the other great 24-hour breakfast spots, so we ate at Denny’s. It was her first time in the city and we walked all overtaking in the beauty and history of all of the buildings and seeing the stunning Cathedral. We even got to take a horse-drawn carriage ride while the guide told us of all the history of the city. When the carriage ride was over we went to the famous Cafe Du Monde and shared some delicious beignets together. It was definitely a date to remember.
